The Fourth of July has definitely become one of my favorite holidays!
I love the meaning of it, the colors, the food, the fireworks, the parade, and the fun crafts.
I've also found that having kids adds a whole new level of fun to holidays.
The best part of the whole day was watching Paxton's reaction to everything.
We started off the day with the parade.
I'm really glad we went because Paxton was so excited by everything going on.
Here's the fam getting ready for it to start.
(Paxton has been a big grouch about taking pictures lately so don't expect smiles in any of these.
I'm just impressed it's taken him this long to be annoyed with a camera considering it's been in his face since the day he was born!)
I made the kiddos outfits this year using ideas I found on Pinterest.
Paxton had a flag shirt made using his hand, and Maebry's was a ric-rac and ribbon flag.
I also made her a quick little flag skirt and a "firecracker" bow.
I sure love watching my kiddos experience new things.
Paxton started the parade a tad grumpy, but the $1.00 flag
and the free candy that came flying at us, perked him right up.
Paxton's middle name is in this next picture :)
Here he is getting pretty stoked about the horses.
We met two of my sisters and their fams at the parade
and took some pretty cute pics with the cousins.
Naturally, my kids are not smiling.
In fact, Paxton was bawling in most of the pictures.
He wanted no part of sitting down to smile for the camera.
No worries though. I just cut him out of the picture.
How cute are they??
We sure do make some cute kids if I do say so myself.
Maebry always gets a lot of loves.
The boys went on to watch and cheer on the parade...
and the gals just hung out looking cute :)
Princess Presley sure is a little babe.
After the parade, we went home to nap.
After naps, we went to my Parent's house and the kids swam,
we ate delicious food, and all hung out talking.
Later that night, we went to watch the fireworks show and set off fireworks of our own.
It was a pretty fun filled day.
I'm already in the mood to pin Fourth of July ideas for next year!
Happy Independence Day!!
