Miss Maebry is twelve months old!
[This post is coming a little later, but it needed to happen!
The balloons in the crib pictures happened on her actual birthday November 27th.
The Uno pictures happened after her birthday party.
I decided I should get a few more pics in her birthday outfit.]
Well, it's finally here. My baby is ONE!
This year has been a crazy, good year.
Maebry has been such a sweet, lovable, dramatic, smart, amazing, and beautiful little gal.
I can already see the differences in personality between Maebry and Paxton.
She is definitely her own little person! (Even though they look so much alike.)
Just check out this diva moment Maebry had.
After I let Paxton in the crib to play with the balloons too,
Maebry let us know she was NOT ok with that. Haha.

She really is such a sweetie most of the time though.
She is just specific about the things she wants.
And who doesn't appreciate a gal who knows what she wants??
She is still a huge Mama's girl, and I am loving it.
(Although, I think I'm the only one that loves it, heh.)
She needs to be with me or know exactly where I am.
While I was holding her the other night, a family member picked her up to hold her,
and she flipped around as fast as she could to see me and started screaming.
She has been crawling all over the place.
She has been exploring different rooms in the house and discovering all kinds of fun things.
I think I mentioned this in my last post, but she is so fun at playing little games with me.
She will find something that she thinks is so funny and keep doing it over and over to get a laugh.
Some of the things she comes up with are pretty funny.
She is a happy baby for sure!
She hasn't really started saying words with meaning yet, but she is on her way.
We went shopping for birthday presents for Maebry the other night,
and I wanted her to get a princess doll.
I kept giving her all the princesses to hold.
She threw every single one of them the second I handed them to her.
Finally, I gave her a Jessie doll (from Toy Story), and she grabbed it and got so excited.
She held on to that Jessie doll and laughed at it every time she looked at it.
So, it looks like we have another Toy Story fanatic on our hands.
She isn't too interested in movies, but when I turn Toy Story on for Paxton, she is at full attention.

She hasn't really been too interested in solid foods yet.
I try to let her taste whatever I am eating, but she just prefers baby food.
I am just not in a huge hurry to force solids on her anyways.
I have lost the 'up-tightness' that comes with the first kid, and have just let her lead me.
I have been pretty big on using signs with her lately.
I use the signs for food, more, all done, and milk.
After only a few days, she seems to know what each sign and word means.
She doesn't do the signs yet, but I can see her starting to try.
She loves to ride in her stroller and go on runs with Mom.
Even if she is cranky, I can load her up in the stroller, and she will just lay back and chill.
I can always count on her to enjoy the ride.
Maebry is still a huge thumb sucker.
She usually has it in her mouth if she is tired or really content.
Maebry is pretty tiny for her age.
She weighed eighteen pounds at her twelve month checkup.
Most people are surprised when I tell them she is one.
(The poor girl got seven shots at her checkup):
Her favorite snacks lately are cheerios, applesauce, and pretzels.
Her nick names are still "Maebs" (mine) "Bee Bee" (Paxton's) and "Tink tink." (Ben's)
(We all call her something different, hah.)
Her favorite place to be is on the bathroom counter while Mom gets ready.
She will just laugh at herself in the mirror and play with all of my makeup and lotion bottles.
She is not very interested in electronics like Paxton was as a baby.
If she sees a phone or tablet, she will initially grab it, but throw it right after.
She would rather have a huge basket of toys and take them out one by one.
I think one of the cutest things she does right now is feel Dada's face.
If he has stubble on it she makes this weird face and pushes him away.
When it's smooth, she will rub it and let him kiss her.
(See what I mean by being oppinionated?)
She also loves to play with her brother, and laugh at the silly things he does.
He has really made a career out of trying to get her to laugh.
I love watching their bond grow.
Maebry is exactly what we needed in our lives.
She has been a breath of fresh air.
I can't wait to watch her grow and see all the amazing things she will do.
We love you Maebry Diane!
