Paxton's Third Birthday Party!

Paxton's third birthday party was last weekend.
Last year we had a ton of friends invited and played at Jumpin Jungle.
So, this year we had a smaller party at our house.
We invited our family to help us celebrate, and of course the theme was Toy Story.
Here is the birthday boy and his favorite pal, Woody.

I saw the cutest Woody shirt on Etsy and decided that Paxton needed one for his birthday.
I ended up sewing one just like the Etsy one, and I was so excited with how it turned out.
Here is how the table looked:

A few weeks ago, Paxton and I went on a "Mommy/Son" date to The Mud Room.
I ended up painting a plate to go along with the Toy Story theme.
The plate was the center piece for the table.

I actually baked for the party!!!
This is a big deal because I usually don't usually like to bake.
I'm working on my cooking skills so I decided to give the cupcakes a try.
I found cute alien cupcakes on Pinterest, and I just copied them.
It was actually super easy.
Paxton picked out the Buzz Lightyear candle when we went shopping for party stuff.

I made pigs in a blanket in honor of Ham (the pig on toy story).
We also had Pizza Planet pizza and fruit.

Naturally, I had to make a few triangle banners.
One for the table and one for the wall.

I decorated another table for the party favors and presents.

I framed the invitation because that is one of my favorite parts of getting ready for Paxton's parties.
I love making the invitations.

Here's what the invitation looked like:

Me and my Cowboy.

I love this picture of Ben and Paxton.

Here is the fam.
I thought about making Maebry a cute Jessie outfit, but changed my mind.
I really wanted Paxton's party to be all about him.
Look at that stink face. He was not interested in taking pictures.

This birthday was really fun because he actually cared about opening presents!
He has never cared to open gifts before, even this past Christmas, but he loved it this time.
It was exciting for him to see his new toys.

He also blew his candle out this year and got really excited after we all clapped for him.

This blowing out the candle picture cracks me up.

The party was fun, and Paxton really got some great presents!
One of my favorite parts of the party was a photo slide show my hubby put together.
It played Toy Story music and scrolled through all our favorite Paxton pictures.
It was fun to see baby Paxton and all the funny moments we have captured through the years.

Paxton's cousins are party animals :)
There was trampoline jumping, cupcake eating, and even a dance party!
These kiddos have some pretty sweet dance moves.
We are so thankful to all our family for being there and helping us celebrate Paxton.

Today is Paxton's real birthday, and we took him to Toys R Us to use his birthday gift card.
I bet you can guess what he bought with it.
Another Woody toy.
Now he has an even bigger collection of Toy Story toys!

YEE HAW!!!!
(Yes, he thinks he needs to wear his Woody hat all the time now.)

We love this boy, and even though it's sad that he is getting bigger, it's fun to see him grow!
